PUP Conference Registration is OpenThe Ninth Annual Power UP Your Pedagogy (PUP) Conference is open for registration. All faculty and professional staff are cordially invited. The theme for the 2014 PUP Conference is the “21st Century of Teaching & Learning.” It will be held on January 8 and 9 on the Annandale Campus, with the Cluster Meetings as part of the agenda.

There is an exciting conference planned, including interactive peer presentations in a variety of sessions, interactive 45-minute breakout sessions, dynamic two-hour workshops and topical interest groups. These presentation styles were well-attended and received in previous years. There will also be a Twitter feed, blog site and a PUP lounge to relax and visit with colleagues.

Three important conference addresses highlight the conference, and exceptional speakers have been invited for this year. President Robert G. Templin, Jr. will give a welcome address to open the conference. Robert Bausch, 2013 NOVA SCHEV Award winner, will provide insights to teaching, and the plenary speaker will be Dr. Bryan Alexander, an educational futurist.

New features for PUP this year include a Project Poster Presentation hosted by adjunct and full-time faculty in the gym, an exhibition of Learning Spaces of the Future and a Vendor Fair in the CE Forum that lets you visit with representatives of companies dedicated to supporting education.

As in past conferences, lunch is provided for all attendees who register online using the link provided in the weekly email reminders. Be sure to register early and review the events you want to attend.

PUP is an exciting, award-winning, professional development conference that brings all NOVA faculties together. PUP is your conference presented by your colleagues.
