NOVA SAS Kicks Off Sexual Assault Awareness Month

NOVA SAS Kicks Off Sexual Assault Awareness Month NOVA’s Sexual Assault Services (SAS) program kicks off Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) with a theater performance called, “T-O-T-A-L-L-Y”, by Kimleigh Smith on Monday, April 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the CE Theater on the Annandale Campus.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a Resource Fair and the performance will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A meet and greet session with Smith will follow. The performance is free and open to the public with free parking in lots B11, B12, B13, B14 and B15.

Smith acts out the impacts of sexual assault on a college cheerleader and her path to recovery. She highlights her personal growth as she struggles to develop healthy sexuality. This one-hour performance is heart wrenching, powerful and has great impact. Due to scenes depicting violence, sexual content and language, this performance is for mature audiences only.
