Alexandria Provost Ronald Buchanan welcomed Honors students and faculty from all five campuses to the Alexandria Campus for the Annual Honors Celebration: A Night of Scholarship on April 8.
About 100 students, along with their parents and Honors faculty from Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas and Woodbridge Campuses, gathered to celebrate the academic achievements of the College-wide Honors Program students. Students were recognized for their academic triumphs in the program.
The event formally recognized the 29 winners of the ExxonMobil Award and the 24 winners of Honors Scholarship. Additionally, the 2013 and 2014 High School Honors Scholars were acknowledged.
The highlight of the evening was the personal testimony of three Honors Program students who served as the keynote speakers. The audience was inspired by their stories of the impact the NOVA Honors Program has had on them personally and academically.
