The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) recognizes instructors nominated by their peers for being a “Super Professor.” This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize great people throughout the College. The 2013-2014 SuperProfs included:

Mike Amey (AL), Liberal Arts, nominated by Carlos Schroder for being a super colleague.

Joyce Brotton (AN), English, nominated by the Annandale Provost’s Office. Brotton recently retired after many years of service to the College.

Woody Givens (LO), Biology, nominated by Gillian Backus for being an outstanding, collaborative colleague and for being way ahead of the curve in his use of blogs, tweets and other media used to engage students. Givens shared his knowledge by consistently attending and presenting at Power Up Your Pedagogy and other conferences.
