Alexandria Faculty Member Named Artist-in-Residence

Alexandria Faculty Member Named Artist-in-Residence Alexandria music faculty member and jazz saxophonist John Kocur was selected to be the artist-in-residence at Bohemian Caverns for the month of July.

The website CapitalBop has described Kocur as “a promising young alto saxophonist, [who] has an unequivocally clear and forceful tone, and deploys it in precise, but expressive solos. He tends to write post-bop tunes with thrash and groove, and leads a tight quartet.”

Alexandria Faculty Member Named Artist-in-Residence The John Kocur Quartet will perform at the legendary jazz club, Bohemian Caverns, on Tuesday, July 29 at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
