NOVA Volleyball Hosts Appreciation Night

NOVA Volleyball Hosts Appreciation NightNOVA women’s volleyball will host Student Services Appreciation Night when the team welcomes the College of Southern Maryland to the Ernst Center Thursday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m.

NOVA volleyball members would like to thank all the NOVA Student Services staff who work hard behind the scenes to make each semester a success.

NOVA Athletics will provide complimentary refreshments for NOVA employees and their families as a token of appreciation for their efforts.

“This is a fun way to show support of the team behind the team and support the College community,” said Brian Anweiler, College-Wide Student Life Office. “We hope to build on this in the future with the many other divisions of the College that make NOVA such a special place.”

In addition, the team plans to help raise funds for the Ray Jones Memorial Fund to provide scholarships for his three young daughters. He died suddenly of a heart attack on May 4 at the age of 40. He was an inspirational leader in Student Services at the Annandale Campus and a devoted husband and father.

Admission to the game is free but cash donations for the Ray Jones Memorial Fund can be made at the game. Online donations may also be given through the Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation website at www.nvcc.edu/foundation.
