NOVA’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) proudly presents the 10th Annual Power Up Your Pedagogy (PUP) on January 7 and 8 on the Annandale Campus. This year’s theme is “Bridges: Connecting Our Past and Our Future.” All faculty and professional staff are invited to register.
This conference is by faculty and for faculty and proudly showcases the impressive talents of NOVA faculty. As NOVA approaches its 50th anniversary, faculty are reinventing their teaching practices with a focus on current trends in higher education. PUP is the forum where these changes can be shared through scholarship, tips and reflective practices that bring authentic learning to students.
You are also invited to submit a proposal for a PUP session that is focused on NOVA’s 50 years of excellence, collaboration and social learning in higher education, developing an engaging learning environment, the science of teaching and learning in higher education and student success.
Volunteer opportunities are also available.
Keynote speakers include NOVA President Robert G. Templin, Jr. and Dr. José Antonio Bowen. Bowen is the president of Goucher College and the author of “Teaching Naked.”
CETL is extremely delighted to include the Goucher College faculty at the PUP Conference this year. By bringing together faculty from two wonderful institutions, the opportunities for learning, teaching, networking and collaborating will be exponentially raised.
