The 2014 Fall Literary Celebration, presented by Woodbridge English Professor Andrew Young’s English 125 Honors class, is an opportunity for NOVA students to give back to the community by reading from selected works of literature. The first reading was at the Books-A-Million in Potomac Mills Mall on October 25. The students presented works from Edgar Allan Poe to an audience of 50 people and subsequently held an engaging question and answer session with the audience. The students did a wonderful job representing NOVA.
The Literary Celebration continues in the Woodbridge Campus Library where the students will read short stories with unexpected endings November 4 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and then read pieces of literature that honor soldiers and veterans November 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. These readings are free and open to the public.
