The Medical Education Campus (MEC) Student Life Office, through Patricia Martin-Mattocks’ efforts, was able to coordinate three successful Saturday activities highlighting performing arts, museums, exhibitions and documentaries.
On October 11, NOVA students tested their fears in the new Maze of Madness at Kings Dominion. They also had the chance to experience horror in grand proportions throughout all the haunted attractions. Students from the Manassas and Annandale campuses joined the MEC for Fright Fest.
On October 18, another group met at the Kennedy Center to enjoy Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s award-winning musical, “Evita.”
On October 25, a different student group experienced a wonderful visit to New York City. Participants enjoyed a walking tour of New York City, including Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Central Park and shopping. They also appreciated the historical, cultural and entertaining city attractions. The main attractions were the two reflecting pools at the 9/11 Memorial and a tour of the museum.
All three events were wonderful opportunities for those in attendance.
