“The Sun: Our Very Own Stellar Laboratory,” presented by Dr. Peter Williams, is available on NOVA TV Center’s Video on Demand.
The presentation describes the observational characteristics of the sun and its various atmospheric layers as well as the sun’s far-reaching influence via the solar wind. Williams’ descriptions give viewers insight and understanding into the role of nuclear fusion in the production of energy and light. Williams’ presentation includes magnificent time lapse footage of the sun that he acquired during his doctoral and postdoctoral work.
