The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) and the Global Studies Committee have combined forces to present a strong Faculty Focus Series, “NOVA and the World.” The third workshop of the series, titled “Our Changing World,” will take place Friday, February 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at CETL Center, CG Room 218 on the Annandale Campus.
Attendance will help faculty insert appropriate global issues into any course curriculum and focus on classroom teaching techniques that incorporate examples of such global linkages.
True to CETL’s slogan “From Faculty, For Faculty,” NOVA faculty will address the need to engage students in contemporary global issues. Stressing the interconnectedness and interdependence of people and the natural world, the session will offer scientific perspectives on climate change and changing medical realities and discuss ways to incorporate these into many courses.
