Alexandria Library staff members are contributing to efforts to save the Chesapeake Bay by growing aquatic grass for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Grasses for the Masses Program. Library staff members are growing Vallisneria Americana or Wild Celery. Wild Celery is a type of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) that grows in shallow water regions of the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers. “Diversity: Celebrating the Talents of the Art Faculty” exhibit at the Manassas Campus features “an exciting variety of styles, providing a visually dazzling experience for the viewer,” according to Art Professor Rosemary Gallick. Zac Jackson: “It’s Not as Bad as it Looks”

Zac Jackson sculptures will be on display in the Gallery at Woodbridge through March 26. The Gallery is located on the first floor of the Arts and Sciences Building and is accessible to people with disabilities. Open Enrollment for health care and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) will be held from Friday, May 1 through Friday, May 22. Changes to health care plans and new and re-enrollments in FSAs may be made during this period.
