As NOVA students prepare to transfer to four-year institutions and the working world, connecting students with experiential learning opportunities related to their majors is increasingly crucial to their long-term career success. Teaching faculty play a pivotal role in helping students bridge academic and workforce-based learning.
By attending this session, faculty will learn more about the resources and programming available through NOVA’s collegewide Career and Experiential Learning Services, including College Central Network, NOVA’s new online job, career and internship database. Learn how faculty can enhance student learning by connecting students to opportunities to receive credit for elective internships and find part-time and full-time employment search assistance. This session will share information about more than 1,000 businesses and organizations that are reaching out to NOVA students.
