On September 1, Alexandria Liberal Arts Dean Jimmie McClellan dedicated the Language Lab in the Bisdorf Building in honor of Dr. Margarita Hodge. Hodge was a longtime Spanish professor in the Liberal Arts Division at Alexandria.

In attendance for the dedication were Hodges’ son Rich, niece Laura Esparza and grandsons Iain and Shane. Many Alexandria faculty, administrators and students were in attendance to celebrate the contributions of Hodges to the Alexandria Campus and the NOVA community.

Among many of her accomplishments, Hodge was a 2006-2007 Faculty of the Year awardee and a 2004-2005 Presidential Sabbatical recipient. She used her sabbatical to create an online learning module for learning development Spanish students.
