“The Hunting Ground” Screening at NOVA

“The Hunting Ground” is a riveting exposé of sexual assault on college campuses nationwide. This documentary shows in-depth interviews, institutional cover-ups and the devastating toll these acts take on students and their families. It follows the lives of several undergraduate sexual assault survivors as they attempt to pursue their education and regain justice after constant harassment and traumatic experiences.

Created by CNN and the same documentary team that produced “The Invisible War,” focusing on sexual assault in the military, this team has brought awareness to an act that is not often discussed or reported about as much by many women and men on college campuses. This documentary also sheds light on what 1 in 5 college women and 1 in 20 college men go through on many college campuses.

NOVA will be screening “The Hunting Ground” on November 2 at 11:00 a.m. The viewing will be followed by a panel discussion with NOVA administrators. This is a college-wide event, and it will take place in the Bisdorf Building (AA), Room 196 on the Alexandria Campus.
