During his visit to the Alexandria Campus on November 16, President Scott Ralls held an open discussion with the faculty and staff about his vision and past experiences. He spoke of the college budget, his admiration of retired President Robert Templin, Jr., the importance of the College’s relationship with George Mason University, the importance of student success and the history of community colleges.
“Our role in the community colleges is in the Pathway colleges,” stated Ralls. He also elaborated on the increasing need for NOVA services and our promise to the community. Ralls spoke about the two main reasons that students attend NOVA – to find a pathway to a better job or a pathway to a four-year university.
“The clearer we make their pathway, the better,” explained Ralls.
