New Honors Program students with Dr. John Sound (Alexandria Honors chair), Stacy Rice (collegewide Honors coordinator), Dr. Paul Fitzgerald (Annandale Honors chair), Steve Clarke (Loudoun Honors chair), President Scott Ralls, Dr. Sheri Robertson (associate vice president for Academic Services) and Dr. Rebecca Hayes (Manassas Honors chair).

With over 40 in attendance, new Honors Program students received their Honors pin at the September 22 Pinning Ceremony hosted by the Loudoun Campus. President Scott Ralls welcomed the students as did Loudoun Provost Julie Leidig, Associate Vice President for Academic Services Sheri Robertson and the Honors Program Coordinator Stacy Rice. The campus Honors chairs pinned their respective inductees. There were 54 new inductees into the Honors Program.

A recent graduate from the NOVA Honors Program, Michael Matthews, currently in the Honors Program at George Mason University, gave a wonderful speech on “Why Honors?” and how the program changed his life. The NOVA Honors Program is proud of Matthews and all of the new students whom we know will go on to achieve great things.

NOVA Honors Program graciously provided the refreshments for all of the students, faculty, college Honors Committee, Honors chairs and NOVA administrators who attended.
