On January 31, President Scott Ralls and other board members of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) visited with state leaders in Richmond. NVTC is the membership and trade association for the technology community in Northern Virginia.
The largest technology council in the nation, NVTC serves approximately 1,000 companies and represents about 300,000 employees in the region. NOVA has developed a valuable and strategically close working relationship with NVTC. NOVA collaborates on many employment initiatives, especially in the areas of IT, cybersecurity and assisting veterans.
NVTC is also an original and strong supporter of NOVA’s SySTEMic Program. Ralls was able to make the case for several bills and budget items currently before the General Assembly. The Attorney General Mark Herring also re-confirmed his commitment to protecting the interests of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students.
