Lyceum Presents “On Being a Peace Maker” by Colman McCarthy On March 23, the Annandale Campus Lyceum Committee welcomed Colman McCarthy. McCarthy’s presentation was titled “On Being a Peace Maker.” He is an award-winning peace activist, pacifist, animal rights activist, teacher of courses on nonviolence and the literature of peace. He is a former columnist for The Washington Post who has written seven books on peace and pacifism. Some of McCarthy’s titles include: “Strength Through Peace: The Ideas and People of Nonviolence;” “Solutions to Violence;” “I’d Rather Teach Peace” and “All of One Peace: Essays on Nonviolence.”
