Electronic transcripts are now replacing the old online form for students requesting their official NOVA transcripts. Through a nationwide company called Parchment, which is used by over 8,000 colleges, e-transcripts are sent out in a process that is fast, secure, accurate and fully trackable from beginning to end. E-Transcripts also can be uploaded to the Common Application, which more and more universities are requesting, or sent to employers or other agencies in the U.S. or anywhere in the world.
The go-live date is September 5 and is initially being rolled out only for the transcripts being sent out. At a later date (to be determined), NOVA will also be able to receive transcripts through Parchment from participating schools and colleges. Once Parchment is live, transcripts will no longer be sent out using the online forms. A link to Parchment will be available on myNOVA, along with instructions for past students who may not have a NOVA ID. There will be a charge for each transcript with the new system.
Full information is available on the Request Transcripts Web page.
