Electronic transcripts are replacing the old online form for students requesting their official NOVA transcripts. Through a nationwide company called Parchment, used by over 8,000 colleges, e-transcripts are sent out in a process that is fast, secure, accurate and fully trackable from beginning to end. E-Transcripts can be uploaded to the Common Application, which more and more universities are requesting, or sent to employers or other agencies in the U.S. or anywhere in the world.
The go-live date is October 9 and is initially being rolled out only for the transcripts being sent out. At a date still to be determined, NOVA will also have the ability to receive transcripts through Parchment from participating schools and colleges.
Now that Parchment is live, transcripts will no longer be sent out using the online forms. There is a $10 charge for each electronic transcript and a $15 charge for each mailed paper copy with the new system. More information is available on the Request Transcripts web page.
