The inaugural Advancing Classified Excellence (ACE) Conference took place on October 9 at the new Workforce Regional Center in Woodbridge, Va. There were nearly 300 staff in attendance at the event. Early responses indicate the event was a success in recognizing, developing and inspiring classified staff. On October 7, Dr. Karen Bushaw-Newton, biology professor at Annandale, and her students got dirty and wet to clean up Accotink Creek.
