Encourage Students to Access College Central Networking

The College Central Networking (CCN) has over 6,000 employers that are actively recruiting NOVA students for jobs and internships. Students can create a free online CCN account, gain access to resources on career readiness topics, upload their resume for feedback and create career portfolios to enhance their marketability to employers. They can also search for jobs and internships related to their field of study and specify a preferred location radius. Students also have access to career readiness podcasts pertaining to a variety of career readiness topics from subject matter experts ranging from resume tips, interviewing strategies and workplace etiquette.

  1. Career exploration is a large component of the student experience. We encourage students to explore careers and occupations by interacting with local employers: conduct informational interviews, request and perform job shadowing experiences, and intern in areas of interest.
