Loudoun Holds 5th Annual High School Counseling Open House

NOVA’s Loudoun Campus hosted high school guidance counselors from Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) at the Fifth Annual High School Counseling Open House on November 3.

Counselors came to campus from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on what was otherwise an LCPS work day. The group mingled and ate lunch together and then heard student success stories directly from students (some of whom recognized their former counselors), learned the ins and outs of what is happening currently at NOVA with dual enrollment, Achieving the Dream, NOVA SySTEMic and a special presentation with YearUp.

A special thank you for organizing and presenting is due to the Loudoun Campus Student Ambassadors, Cathy Hall (NOVA Loudoun High School Outreach), Dean Debbie Wyne, Provost Julie Leidig, Steve Clarke (Loudoun Achieving the Dream representative), Kristen Carter (Dual Enrollment), Kevin Holmes (YearUp) and Liz Coffey (NOVA SySTEMic).
