Ernst Center Gymnasium Gets a Facelift

After 25 years, the Richard J. Ernst Community Cultural Center Gymnasium has received some much needed enhancements. New bleachers and a retractable ceiling mounted divider curtain were installed over the winter break. The new bleachers are motorized for easy stowaway and safety. In addition, the bleacher design adds wheelchair seating areas to support ADA requirements. Donor’s Generosity Continues to Impact Annandale Music Program

The Annandale Campus Music Program awarded 16 Virginia B. Back Music Scholarships in fall 2016. In 2014, the late Virginia Bedell Back, a former NOVA student and chorus member, left $580,000 to the Annandale Music Program. The funds support the program in various ways, but the scholarships are the most substantial commemoration of Back’s generosity. The awards pay for most college expenses per semester.
