Greetings Future Teachers!

Hello! I am Mrs. Sheble and I am the Program Head for Teacher Education at NOVA. I teach both EDU 200 and SDV 101.  Prior to joining the faculty at Northern Virginia Community College, I was a kindergarten teacher for 18 years with Fairfax County Public Schools. I also taught 4th grade for 5 years with Loudoun County, and I taught Preschool for one year at Fairfax United Methodist Preschool. During my teaching experience, I was a “Supervising Teacher” for many student teachers from James Madison University, George Mason University, and Marymount University. Additionally, I was a mentor for many beginning kindergarten teachers in Fairfax County.

I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education (Certified K-7) from George Mason University, with postgraduate work from the University of Virginia. I attended both the University of Mary Washington and George Mason University for my undergraduate degree.

The best way to reach me is by e-mail:   ksheble@nvcc.edu or, in an emergency, my personal e-mail address is karensheb@gmail.com.
