Preparing for the TEAS
The TEAS exam is a proprietary exam offered by the ATI Testing company. They have developed their own study resources for students to review. You can find them on their TEAS homepage. If you have taken the ATI TEAS test before, you can create a My Results. Within the My Results area of your account, next to your score report, you can create a Focused Review. A Focused Review is an online review tool that aligns question topics missed and the relevant study materials for your review.
NOVA Libraries has a large assortment of TEAS preparation materials available for checkout. Including the official ATI TEAS study manual. These materials are available free of charge to NOVA students. You can also get some good tips from the testing centers “Tips for Taking the Test of Essential Academic Skills” document.
Students also find it helpful to prepare by reviewing other exams. The Medical Education Campus Tutoring Center has a list of excellent resources for students to help prepare them for an exam.

do you guys do a remediation policy ?
please clarify what you mean by remediation policy.
If I took the exam today for the nursing program, does that mean I can’t retake it since I have to wait a month and applications are due in a month?
The application is due on 03/20/2019. The testing center generally indicates your next retake date on your test print out. If you take it on 03/20 the results will be generated same day and you will be able to apply same day.

I toke the teas last year without the science portion. Can I take the teas again but just the science portion. So when I apply I have my results of 2018 for the english/reading/math and just the science portion 2019?
No. You must take the entire test again.
I took my test yesterday for four sections and I got 70.2 % in reading which below what is required for application but over all 70.7%. Does that mean my application is going to be marked eligible? or there is a still chance for me to get into the program? Thank you.
Only applications that meet the requirements will be moved forward for ranking.
How do i send the high school transcript? Can i just send it in the application by attaching to the part that says ‘Official documents’?
We recommend that you either bring it in person to MEC student services office. OR scan a copy and save it as a PDF file and attach it to the application.
“Check back for Spring 2020 update soon”? Do you have updated information? Can I have three attemps by Sep 20,2019 If I apply 2020 spring nursing program? Does retake mean I have to take whole four parts (Reading, English, math and science) instead of one or two parts which I want to improve?
Once we get the update we’ll be sure to post it. If it is changed to “three times a year” it would mean 3 times from January to December. If you’ve for example already taken the TEAS once this year, you’d have two attempts left.
Hi, I have two questions regarding the Spring 2020 Nursing application:
1. It is said that the TEAs can be taken 3 times a year. If I already took 2 attempts for the Fall 2019 application cycle, does that mean I only have 1 attempt left?
2. For the retake, do we have to take all 4 sections of the exam, or we can improve just the section we did not meet the minimum requirement?
Thank you.
In your case, you would have one attempt left until next January. We recommend that you take all four sections and attempt to improve across the board.
Do I have to take my retake before the application period opens for the nursing program? Or am I able to take in during the application period and as long as I have it done by the application deadline I will be fine?
any requirement has to be done by the close of the application period.
