MEC Library instructors teach a variety of information literacy topics such as identifying quality web resources, database research skills, identifying peer reviewed vs. popular press articles, and effectively utilizing citation guides.  Library instructors are happy to teach a lesson customized to the needs of your course.  We can provide a general overview of library resources and basic library research skills for SDV classes; or teach lessons that focus on research skills and resources necessary for a specific course assignment.  Furthermore, we can deliver classes in the Library Instruction Lab or online via Blackboard Collaborate.

To schedule a library instruction session for your class, please complete the Library Instruction Request Form. The Instruction Librarian will follow up with you about the details for your class session. We ask that you give at least 5 business days notice when making instruction requests.  For questions or additional information, contact MECLibraryClasses@nvcc.edu or the User Experience Librarian at ksnawder@nvcc.edu.
