I love working at NOVA’s Medical Education Campus as a communication trainer and as a teacher of student development classes at the Annandale Campus. I have been with NOVA since 2018. Prior to coming to NOVA, I taught high school in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) for over 11 years. I enjoyed teaching biology and science concepts to English language learners and expanded literacy classes. I also taught family literacy classes for FCPS Family and School Partnerships. I am married and have 3 children. I am originally from Rhode Island, but have lived in the DC area for over 28 years. In my free time, I volunteer with Lost Dog and Cat Rescue helping to find homes for abandoned animals.
