Apply for Graduation by March 1

Congratulations to students nearing the completion of a certificate or degree!  A student must submit an Application for Graduation for the process of conferring a certificate or degree to begin. If you plan to graduate this Spring, you must submit an Application for Graduation by March 1.  Learn more about preparing for graduation by visiting the Graduation Process website.

 

Summer 2024 Registration Begins Today!

Registration for Summer 2024 begins today.  Classes for the first session of the summer term begin on May 20.

Students who are pursuing a certificate or degree at NOVA should view their Academic Advising Report available through the Student Information System prior to registering.  The report indicates requirements that have and have not been satisfied for a specific program of study.

Students planning to satisfy the requirements for a certificate or degree this summer should apply for graduation.  The deadline to apply for graduation for the summer term is June 1.

Happy First Day of Classes!

The spring semester has begun.  Below are a few tips to help your semester get off to a good start.

  1. Review each course syllabus. Note due dates as well as contact information for the professor and preferred method of contact.
  2. Create a schedule for studying and completing assignments.
  3. Check the academic calendar. Identify and take note of key dates for a session.
  4. Access the Canvas and EdTech Resources for Students course in Canvas to make sure you are aware of and utilizing features of Canvas.
  5. Connect with NOVA – Access the Virtual Student Union to participate in events!

Spring 2024 Registration for Prospective Students

Registration for Spring 2024 is in progress.   NOVA offers a variety of programs with courses available for various session lengths and course formats.  Classes for the first session of the spring semester begin on January 16.  See below for information about resources to help you learn more about and get started at NOVA.

Registration in Progress for Winter Session and Spring 2024

Registration for the winter session and spring semester is in progress.  Classes for the winter session begin on December 18.  Classes for the first session of the spring semester begin on January 16.

View NOVA’s academic calendar for information about session lengths and important dates.  Scroll to the bottom of the calendar for information about sessions offered through NOVA Online.

Classes may be offered in an asynchronous or synchronous format.  Classes following an asynchronous format are offered through NOVA Online and with few exceptions, do not require any on-site or real-time meetings. Classes following a synchronous format are offered through a NOVA campus and may require on-site meetings and/or meetings online via Zoom in real-time.

View the Schedule of Classes to learn more about class offerings.  Use the Search for A Class feature to search for classes of interest.  Select NOVA Online as the Location option to search for sections of classes offered through NOVA Online.  You will register for classes through NOVA’s student information system. Registration closes at 11:59 pm on the day prior to a session start date.
