Alexandria Annual Student Show
Each spring students are given the opportunity to enter their work in the annual student show. Any student enrolled in a Photography + Media class at Alexandria during the past year may enter up to four works, which are selected by an outside juror who also chooses certain students to receive a cash award in recognition of their overall achievement.
Our annual juried exhibit normally hangs in the gallery of Alexandria’s AFA building. You can view the online galleries for past shows: 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020.
Alexandria Endowed Photography Scholarship
Students placed for a Photography + Media degree may apply for $500-1000 in scholarship funds, awarded each year in conjunction with the Photography + Media Student Juried Show, which may be used for tuition, books, and supplies. Faculty select the recipients, based on work they submit to the Juried Show and their demonstrated promise in the program.
