New Dominion Chorale and Orchestra Performs the Sacred Music of Mozart

New Dominion Chorale will conclude its 27th season with a program of Sacred Music of W. A. Mozart. The performance will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 4 p.m. at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center, 4915 Campus Drive, Alexandria, Virginia, on the campus of Northern Virginia Community College.

Thomas Beveridge, Artistic Director of New Dominion Chorale, will conduct the 175-voice chorus, soloists and orchestra in a selection of Mozart’s works, ranging from the youthful “Veni, Sancte Spiritus,” written at the age of twelve, to his final masterpieces, the “Requiem” and “Ave Verum Corpus,” written just before his untimely death at the age of thirty-five. Other works to be presented are “Regina Coeli” and two works for soprano solo, “Laudate Dominum” and “Alleluia,” featuring Amy Broadbent as soloist.

Ms. Broadbent will be joined by three other soloists: mezzo-soprano Madelyn Wanner, tenor Matthew Hill and bass Karl Hempel.
