NGA Internship/Scholarships Summer 2013

FROM NGA:  Students – Imagine being able to identify anything on, above, or beneath the Earth’s surface…

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is the nation’s premier source of geospatial intelligence.  As a Department of Defense combat support agency and a member of the U.S. Intelligence Community, NGA provides imagery, geospatial and targeting analysis, along with image sciences and modeling for U.S. national defense, disaster relief and safety of navigation. We also provide global support to our Intelligence Community mission partners through NGA representatives stationed around the world.  Headquartered in Springfield, VA, NGA operates major facilities in the Washington D.C. and St. Louis, MO metro areas.

Explore NGA Internship and Scholarship Opportunities offered for the summer of 2013!

Internships and scholarships are offered to eligible college students who are majoring in studies that are relevant to the mission.  Students selected for positions “earn while they learn”!  In other words, students are paid a salary while gaining valuable hands-on experience that can lead to full time employment upon successful completion of the program.   The positions are available during summer breaks and allow students to perform mission related work that is aligned with keeping the nation safe.  Graduate and undergraduate students with interest in such dynamic opportunities are encouraged to apply!  For consideration, students must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, and majoring in studies relevant to the mission of NGA.

Please Note:  Applications for internships and scholarships starting in the summer of 2013 will be accepted September 4 – October 12, 2012 at www.nga.mil.   (See “Careers” and “Current Openings” to locate the appropriate student Assignment Opportunity Notices (AON).  The link to apply will only be available during the dates listed above.   Graduates interested in full time positions are also encouraged to visit the website for current openings and application deadlines.  Regular Assignment Opportunity Notices are updated each Monday on NGA and USAJobs.gov websites.

Thanks for your interest in exploring student and career opportunities at NGA!
