Exelis Visual Information Solutions is hosting a GIS and remote sensing-based conference, VISualize 2013, at the World Wildlife Fund in Washington, D.C. on June 11th and June 12th of this year. This year’s conference will focus on how remote sensing and GIS applications can help solve issues regarding global change and environmental monitoring. In the past, speakers have addressed such topics as the monitoring of arctic sea ice over a multi-decadal period,  tracking deforestation and habitat fragmentation in Madagascar, and measuring the biomass of mangroves in Malaysia.
