Open Street Map Needs Volunteers (Apr 12-13, Wash. DC)

OpenStreetMap conference – State of the Map US – will be in DC next month on April 12 & 13.

This two-day event will bring together 400 people involved in mapping, GIS, open data, and using location data in their work and lives. There will be tons of opportunities to learn about OpenStreetMap and mapping overall, share your own experiences, and connect with people in this space. Plus it’s right in town at the Convention Center.

The OSM team is looking for volunteers for the event, and is offering free registration to volunteers in exchange for assistance with registration and/or room moderation. There may also be an option for a discounted student registration if there is interest in that option. If you are sure that you would like to participate, please fill out this form:   https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1XkIF2NPmxgzXtsFKllzSkRbfcrsuFuqRFuzSw9UGDGg/viewform and Eva Stern will pass your name along to the OSM Conference organizers.
