Calendar: Upcoming Geospatial Events in Our Area

  • The Making of MapStory: A hands-on walk through of how data can be turned into a map. Saturday, April 5.
  • Women in Geospatial Meetup: Panel discussion around the theme of are maps sexists and how to bring people from all walks into the geospatial space. Thursday, April 10.
  • QGIS Meetup: All day event with sessions on QGIS in use and workshops on how to use it. Friday, April 11.
  • Mapbox Garage Party: To kick off State of the Map and to bring people together to talk OpenStreetMap, Mapbox is hosting a party. Friday, April 11.
  • State of the Map US: A two-day conference all about OpenStreetMap. Come learn about OSM, see it in use, discuss the future of the project, and meet other mappers. Saturday & Sunday, April 12 & 13.
  • OpenStreetMap Sprint Day: This is a hands on day to work on OpenStreetMap. Bring your own project or help the Red Cross map Ebola, learn how to make aerial maps with balloons, or go surveying to add new data to OpenStreetMap in DC. Monday, April 14.
