Wind is going head to head with natural gas at the heart of the fracking boom—and wind is winning.
Texan wind power is set to take off in a major way. From 2013 to 2014, ERCOT estimates that wind capacity will increase by 33 percent. Wind-power potential is projected to jump another 25 percent from 2014 to 2015—a sharp uptick in installation that comes on the heels of a half decade of relatively slow growth.
