Scholarship Alert! NOVA Engineering Students

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and Virginia Tech have created a scholarship opportunity for full-time NOVA Engineering students. The name of the scholarship program is Virginia Tech Network for Engineering Transfer Students (VT-NETS) and it is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The scholarship will provide each successful applicant with up to $6,000 a year over two years while working towards completion of the A.S. in Engineering degree at NOVA. After earning the degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, students would have the opportunity to continue full-time at Virginia Tech pursuing a B.S. degree in Engineering. While at Virginia Tech the scholarship would provide up to $10,000 a year over two years and fully fund a student’s study abroad experience as part of Virginia Tech’s Engineering program.

Please note, this scholarship program is intended for NOVA first-time freshman or early Engineering program majors (those who have not completed any program specific engineering, science or math courses).
