IDOL Course April-June

Creating Learning Online with Universal Design (CLOUD) is a ten week online course focusing on instructional design (theories and models), using open educational resources, universal design for learning, and reusable learning objects.  The following learning units make up the CLOUD course:

  1. Introduction to Learning Theory
  2. Learner Motivation
  3. Instructional Design Models
  4. Reusable Learning Objects
  5. Alignment
  6. Universal Design
  7. Trends in Instructional Design
  8. Open Educational Resources (OER)
  9. Evaluating Instructional Media and Technology
  10. Self-Reflection

There is no charge for taking this course, and participants will each receive a 32 GB flash drive to store the content they are creating and 20 hours of professional development.  In order to sign up for the course you must have successfully completed the VCCS course Instructional Design for Online Learning (IDOL – EDU 287). The course will be offered beginning April 19 and will end on June 26, 2014.

To enroll in the course, please contact C.J. Bracken at cjbracken@reynolds.edu expressing your interest.  In your email please note where you took IDOL and what college you are representing from within the VCCS.  You must be an active full time or adjunct faculty member within the VCCS.  There will be a total of three (3) sections offered so space is limited to only 45 participants, please email no later than April 17, 2015 expressing your interest.
