Motorcycle Training Program

Let’s Ride! The motorcycle rider program at the Loudoun and Alexandria Campus will start again in March.  Registration is open!

Co-sponsored by the Virginia Rider Training Program, DMV, and NOVA, this 15-hour course (10 hours on the range and 5 hours in the classroom) is for anyone who wants to learn to ride a motorcycle. The course is offered at both the Loudoun and Alexandria Campuses. You’ll learn the basic skills of motorcycle operation, effective braking, and obstacle avoidance, as well as safe riding strategies – skills normally acquired only after several years of trial-and-error riding. Successful completion of the Basic Rider Course provides you with a temporary State motorcycle license. Enrollment is limited and classes fill very quickly.

  1. I took your motorcycle a couple years ago. The instructors were very knowledgeable and they made learning easy and fun. Wondering if you were offering the 3 wheel course?

    I’m considering a Can Am.

    1. Unfortunately, we don’t offer the sidecar/3 wheel course anymore. The best place to look is Evergreen Council. That is the curriculum we used when we offered the class. Best of luck!

  2. When will the next set of Winter courses be available? Very excited to get enrolled and working on this? NOVA Workforce has been great in my career goals and looking forward to attaining some personal goals with it as well!

    1. Our motorcycle program will start up again in March. Registration will open on December 3 for March through May classes. Registration for all our other classes is ongoing. Check our website for all currently available classes
