Arlington County Housing Grant
The County’s Housing Grants Program provides rental assistance to low-income Arlington residents. These grants cover a portion of monthly rent, depending on household income, household size and rent amount. Applicants must meet income requirements and personal assets may not exceed $35,000.
Arlington County House Choice Program
The federally funded and locally administered Arlington County Housing Choice (ACHCV) Program helps low-income families, the elderly and people with disabilities obtain safe, decent, and affordable housing in the private market.
Crisis Emergency Assistance
- Emergency assistance with rent, mortgage, utilities, medical or clothing expenses.
- Provides up to $500 payment to assist with rent, mortgage, utility, medical or clothing expenses.
- A Department of Human Services social worker must interview applicant to determine need.
- Assistance is limited to one time during a six month period, except for clothing, which is once in 12 months.
