History Making NOVA Alum Re-elected Sheriff of Prince William County
Security Agency. He received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army in June 1969. Following his discharge, he became the first African-American to join the Manassas Police Department. While serving there, he continued his education in criminal justice at Northern Virginia Community College. In 1993, he was named Superintendent of the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center. In November 2003, he was elected Sheriff of Prince William County. Sheriff Hill has more than four decades of law enforcement experience in Manassas City and Prince William County. On Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Hill was re-elected to serve his fifth term.
