Loudoun Campus Launches Podcast, You Ought NOVA Under Prof. Mishra
Program head Sanjay Mishra, a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music and a veteran of the industry, has released several CDs of his own and has recorded with Jerry Garcia of The Grateful Dead and other notable musicians. Professor Mishra has also composed music for film. His score for the French film ‘Port Djema’ received the Lifetime Vision Award at the Steven Spielberg-chaired Hamptons International Film Festival. Next up in Mishra’s department are faculty/staff and students who jumped in and launched the college’s first podcast (that we know of).
You Ought NOVA, a cheeky play on the phrase you ought to know, is on its 4th episode with the latest produced earlier this week on Monday with lively hosts, Mike McMillon (LO Student Life Specialist) and Tatyana Schum (LO Campus and Community Relations).
Episode 4 Description: Happy New Year – Resolve to Recognize Your Value (And Make Your Bed) Daily
If you drove out of town – or really, anywhere – over the break, you probably listened to a podcast or two (or more). We know WE did! We enjoyed them all, but one episode in particular struck us and we brought an idea from it, to you.
It’s a simple tool to recognize your value (both to yourself and others) each day! We loved The Marie Forleo Podcast, specifically episode 300 (with entrepreneur and author Kate Northrup) for all its amazing info – and helping us to realize and share our value.
