NOVACares and Sexual Assault Services Can Assist You
NOVACares was created to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and employees. This is where you can share your concerns if a situation worries you. For example, if you are grieving the loss of a family member and you are having trouble focusing on your teaching, then submit a report and we will respond with resources. Reports are assessed and assigned to the appropriate staff to address any concerns. Go to www.nvcc.edu/novacares. Click on “Make a Report” and complete the NOVACares Reporting Form.
Sexual Assault Services (SAS), a program of the NOVACares Office, is the only fully confidential office at NOVA. SAS offers information and advocacy to students, faculty, and staff regarding not only sexual assault, but also stalking, dating/domestic violence and sexual harassment. Staff can accompany you to court, hospital, police department and any college administrative meetings. If you or someone you know needs help, call our 24-hour hotline at 703-338-0834 or by email at nova.sas@nvcc.edu. Remember, you are not alone.
