Five Nighthawks Named 2020 Veteran Posse Scholars

January 21, 2020 / Our Nighthawks

Congratulations to five NOVA students named 2020 Posse Scholars.  The Posse Foundation launched its Veterans initiative in 2012.  The Posse Veterans Program identifies, trains, and supports veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces interested in pursuing bachelor’s degrees at top colleges and universities. Those accepted into the program attend college as part of a team of veterans known as the Veterans Posse. Participants receive training prior to matriculating on campus and mentoring once enrolled. In addition, Posse partner colleges provide veterans in the program with supplemental funding to cover the full cost of tuition.  A special awards ceremony will be held in New York City this week to celebrate the honorees.
