Congrats to our Jack Kent Cooke Semifinalists

Our students rock! This academic year, 23 NOVA applicants were selected as national semifinalists for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. This is amazing news about our Nighthawks, and the total, is up from 17 semifinalists last year. This year’s students were selected from a pool of nearly 1,500 applicants attending 311 community colleges in 45 states and the District of Columbia.

By the Numbers:

1,500 students, nationwide, applied for the scholarship
58 applications — the second-highest number received from any community college
5 NOVA semifinalists representing five different NOVA campuses
80 scholarship winners will be announced in early April. The winners will receive up to $40,000.
20 NOVA winners over the past 14 years.
