Nighthawk Basketball Standout in Belize

Former Northern Virginia Community College men’s basketball standout Khalil Jabbie is continuing his basketball career in the National Elite Basketball League in Belize with the Belmopan Bandits.

Jabbie scored over 900 points in his NOVA career and then transferred to NCAA Division II California University of Pennsylvania, where he went over the 600-point mark. The Alexandria, native also grabbed over 400 rebounds between NOVA and Cal U.

In his first game with the Bandits he scored 18 points on 5-of-15 shooting from the field and was 3-for-10 beyond the arc. He was one of the five Bandits who scored in double figures in the 95-88 season opening loss to the Punta Gorda Panthers.

The Bandits next contest is scheduled for Friday, January 31 against the Griga Dream Ballers at 10:15 p.m. eastern.
