Loudoun’s ENCM Club Donates Refrigerator to Campus Food Pantry
The Food and Resource Pantry on the Loudoun Campus has seen many changes in the last year. “The pantry was relocated to the Office of Student Life from Financial Aid in February of 2019. Our goal since has been to provide a more open and accessible experience for all of our campus community who utilize the pantry.” says Mike McMillon, Student Life Program Coordinator.
After the relocation, new shelving was added to provide more of a “grocery store” feel and allowed for an expansion to include more hygiene items. On January 29th, another new and exciting upgrade took place.
The Every Nation Campus Ministry Club on the Loudoun Campus took it upon themselves to donate a brand new mini-fridge to the pantry. “Despite having a stocked pantry, it has always been a struggle to offer healthy, nutritious options for our students. ENCM really answered the call with this generous donation. Now we will be able to keep some fresh items on hand.” said McMillon.
To utilize the Loudoun Campus Pantry or to donate food / hygiene items, you can visit the pantry in the Learning Commons Building, room 102L. For more information on how you can support, please contact Mike McMillon at mmcmillon@nvcc.edu.
