Northern VA Chamber Regional Economic Outlook Highlights NOVA’s Talent

Yesterday, Dr. Kress made her first official area public keynote appearance at the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s 28th Regional Economic Outlook Forum.  The conference is a key event attended each year by NOVA Workforce Development in an effort to remain aware of area trends impacting our region and opportunities to “hear from business leaders on future economic shifts and how they’re preparing for change.”  During Dr. Kress’ speech, she highlighted five phenomenal NOVA Nighthawks who have charted amazing paths that began on our campuses.  These talented alum each have gone on to become pivotal employees at area organizations.  

Additionally, she shared data on the talent that emerges from NOVA and how regional businesses can partner and impact innovation by hiring our students.    

NOVA Workforce also provided insightful data for each attendee to take with them which provided a visual a snapshot of the region’s economic landscape from the past decade and what can be expected in 2020 and beyond.   Click below to view both documents.
