Best Practices for Using YouTube in the Classroom
This virtual session will introduce you to best practices when using YouTube with classroom instruction. The topics covered will include: creating a YouTube playlist, how to “flip” the classroom with YouTube videos, video editing features, and how to create your own YouTube channel.

Instructor: Peg O’Hara is a technical trainer for the NVCC Instructional and Information Technology division. She provides online and in-person support for programs such as Canvas, Zoom conferencing and productivity tools. Peg started her career with the Fairfax County Public Schools system as a high school biology, anatomy, and chemistry instructor. She spent the second half of her career working as an instructional technologist, introducing various software programs and their integration with instruction. She lives in the Northern Virginia area, loves dogs, enjoys being physically active and also teaches spin classes.
